The Place<\/h1>\n

It houses Centro TEA La Laguna, dedicated to contemporary art, and also a Sacred Art Hall. The goal of this new venue, located in the heart of La Laguna, whose historical centre was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is to become a benchmark cultural centre for the city in a unique location where visitors can see both the art of the past and the art of today. The Convent of Santa Catalina de Siena-Centro TEA, where the memory of the past sits side by side with the present, summarises four hundred years of history through art.<\/p>\n

Located in the former novitiate of the convent, this space has been recently refurbished thanks to the joint collaboration of the City Council of San Crist\u00f3bal de La Laguna, the Dioceses of San Crist\u00f3bal de La Laguna (Bishopric of Tenerife) and the Cabildo de Tenerife. The centre opens with two exhibitions: Mystic Garden<\/em>, on view in the Sacred Art Hall on the ground floor, and Time, Gestures and Fictions <\/em>at Centro TEA La Laguna, on the upper floor.<\/p>\n
